Amanda has been in education for the entirety of her career, always focused on her true love of content development and student success.  Beginning in the elementary classroom, inside of public education, to transitioning to higher education in 2013, her focus remains steadfast: high-quality instruction with built-in support to help students reach their goals.  She has served the students at Nash Community College for the duration of her tenure in the community college system, serving in multiple capacities. She was granted title of professor in May 2023 and teaches SOC 210: Introduction to Sociology, SOC 213: Sociology of the Family, and SOC 225: Social Diversity. She is also currently serving as Vice President of the NCCCSPA.​
