Looking Forward... Looking Back:
NCCCSPA's 10th Anniversary Conference

The 2009 NCCCSPA Conference will be a virtual one. It will be conducted online. In order to allow maximum flexibility, the conference will be asynchronous. Presentations will be in the form of papers, PowerPoints, videos, and related media. Each presentation will include a discussion forum that attendees can use to ask questions of the presenter and share their own experiences.

Since 2009 is the 10th anniversary of the formation of NCCCSPA, the theme of this conference is the last 10 years and next 10 years of teaching sociology, teaching psychology, and teaching in the NCCC System.

The NCCCSPA was formed on March 23, 1999 at the closing session of the North Carolina Community College Psychology/Sociology Curriculum Improvement Project in Southern Pines, North Carolina. 

The purpose of the NCCCSPA is to promote communication and cooperation among NC sociology and psychology faculty, to address issues and policies of interest to these disciplines, to provide opportunities for professional and career development, and to support effective teaching.
